Realization of tools for the handling of gas turbine rotors throughout the manufacturing process.
In factories manufacturing turbine gas turbine rotors, handling is at the center of productivity and safety issues. Indeed, each disc that makes up the rotors weighs 70 tons for a total weight of around 350 tons.
eXcent has designed and manufactured tools that can be used to assemble rotors, tilt and manipulate them both vertically and horizontally. To avoid any risk and gain in ergonomics, the tools are automated and equipped with camera surveillance systems.
These tools are adaptable in terms of dimensions, capacity, … to meet customer requirements. For example, they have already been sold in the United States, Russia and the Czech Republic.
